Tennessee Discrimination in Housing Poster: Where to Find It in 2026
The Tennessee Discrimination in Housing poster is still legally required, but the agency that published it no longer exists. The Tennessee Human Rights Commission (THRC) was dissolved on June 30, 2025. Its website was taken down. The poster page is gone. The Civil Rights Enforcement Division (CRED) under the Attorney General's Office inherited enforcement, but has not published an updated version of this poster as of early 2026.
The law requiring the poster is still on the books. The administrative rules transferred to CRED. If you are in the housing sale or rental industry in Tennessee, you are still required to display this poster.

We located and archived the most recent version of this poster, revised July 2022. The poster is bilingual (English and Spanish) and reads "Tennessee Law Prohibits Housing Discrimination."
The contact information on this poster references the former THRC.Until CRED releases an updated version, this is the most current poster available.
Who Is Required to Post This
This poster applies to entities in the housing sale and rental industry. That includes real estate brokers, salespeople, operators, financial institutions, landlords, property managers, developers, and insurance agents involved in housing transactions.
The requirement comes from THRC Rules 1500-01-.02.1(16) under the Tennessee Human Rights Act (T.C.A. 4-21-601). The poster must be displayed conspicuously in areas frequented by residents and individuals seeking housing opportunities.
This is not part of the standard employer all-in-one poster set. It is a separate, industry-specific requirement.
Why This Poster Is Hard to Find
Governor Lee signed HB 910 dissolving the THRC effective July 1, 2025. Enforcement of the Tennessee Human Rights Act and Tennessee Disability Act moved to the newly created Civil Rights Enforcement Division (CRED) within the Attorney General's Office.
When the THRC was dissolved, its website at tn.gov/humanrights was taken down. Old poster pages now show a message that the THRC no longer exists and to contact CRED. The legacy PDF files may still be technically accessible at their old URLs, but the landing pages that linked to them are gone.
CRED's website at tn.gov/attorneygeneral/cred.html has a FAQ page and contact page. There is no posters section, no publications page, and no downloadable resources as of February 2026.
When We Expect an Updated Version
No compliance vendor has released an updated version. J.J. Keller, Poster Guard, and Compliance Poster Company all still sell versions referencing the THRC. None of their update trackers show a December 2025 or 2026 change for this poster.
We expect CRED to release an updated poster with their contact information at some point in 2026. When they do, we will update this page and notify subscribers.
In the meantime, posting the 2022 version along with CRED's current contact information is a good-faith compliance effort.

It is the only version available right now. The 2022 version with THRC contact info is what every compliance vendor still sells. Posting the most recent available version along with CRED's updated contact information is a reasonable good-faith effort until an updated poster is released.
